The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence has introduced transformative tools that are increasingly being used in accounting tasks by professionals. The integration of artificial intelligence into accounting processes has created opportunities and challenges for accounting professionals. Therefore, the purpose of the research is to examine the threats, challenges, and opportunities of artificial intelligence in accounting education. The analysis method of the present study is the qualitative content analysis method of articles published in reputable journals. The information of this study was collected in a library and archival manner. The results of the research show that the current challenges of artificial intelligence are a unique opportunity to move financial accounting beyond a technical, managerial, and financial focus. Turning threats into opportunities requires accounting academics to recognize the nature of the threat and the associated challenge, seize the opportunities available, and use them in a way that prioritizes both criticism and criticality.
