Abstract
This review examines the factors affecting citizens' satisfaction with municipalities. Citizen satisfaction is one of the key indicators in assessing the quality of public services and urban management performance, which affects social participation and sustainable urban development. In this study, various factors such as the quality of urban services, physical and environmental space, transparency and accountability of urban management, and citizen participation in decision-making processes have been examined. The literature review shows that citizen satisfaction is directly related to the quality of services provided, including transportation, green space, traffic management, and communication processes of municipalities. Also, transparency and accountability of officials and providing opportunities for active citizen participation play an important role in increasing trust and satisfaction. This study provides a conceptual framework for better understanding the factors affecting citizen satisfaction and shows the importance of a comprehensive and multidimensional approach in urban management that can lead to improved policies and performance of municipalities.
