Abstract
Operational flexibility refers to the ability of a business to adapt to environmental changes, reduce costs, and optimize processes. Therefore, flexible companies incur lower operational adjustment costs and create growth opportunities during economic development, which can play a significant role in company investments. Therefore, this study seeks to evaluate the interactive effect of financial constraints and operational flexibility on investment in fixed assets. In this study, 169 companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange were studied during the period 1403-1397. A panel regression model was used to test the hypotheses. The research findings show that operational flexibility has a positive and significant effect on investment in fixed assets. However, this effect is less when the company is faced with financing constraints.
