Abstract
This study examines the impact of economic shocks on the dynamics of insurance companies and analyzes their different responses, focusing on complementary and practical suggestions. The data collection tool was a standard questionnaire designed and validated by Li and Jiang, Y. (2022), which consists of 24 closed items with a five-point Likert scale and measures the three main dimensions of the study, including economic shocks, the dynamics of insurance companies, and the different responses of insurance companies. The statistical population of the study includes all insurance companies active in Iran in the life and non-life insurance market, and the statistical sample of 400 experts and scholars was selected using a stratified random sampling method. Data analysis was performed using SmartPLS software and interactive regression technique. The results show that economic shocks significantly affect the dynamics of insurance companies and that complementary and applied suggestions play an important moderating role in reducing the negative effects of these shocks. The findings can be useful for managers, policymakers, and investors in the insurance field.
