Abstract
This study examines the relationship between managerial ability and efficiency in working capital management of companies. Managerial ability refers to a manager's capacity to make effective decisions and achieve positive results for his or her organization. It is a multidimensional construct that includes various skills, knowledge, and competencies, including strategic thinking, problem solving, communication, leadership, and emotional intelligence. A manager with high ability is likely to be more effective in achieving organizational goals and improving the overall performance of the company. Accordingly, the present study seeks to examine the efficiency of working capital management, managerial ability, and company performance. To achieve the research objective, financial information of 163 companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange during the period from the beginning of 2014 to the end of 2015 was used, and to test the research hypothesis, the multivariate regression method and mixed data were used. The findings show that management ability has been able to increase the efficiency of working capital. Because the findings indicate a positive and significant effect of management ability on the efficiency of working capital. Based on these findings, it can be said that more capable managers can manage working capital more efficiently. The findings show that working capital efficiency has a positive impact on the performance of companies. These findings indicate the positive role of working capital efficiency. Therefore, it can be said that the ability of managers through increasing working capital has led to the performance of companies. In summary, it can be said that effective working capital increases the performance of the company.
