Many prominent experts and senior managers, despite having high intelligence and capabilities, do not have outstanding performance. Moreover, sometimes their presence can create disruption, turn a harmonious environment into a tense one, reduce employee motivation, increase work stress, and ultimately lead to a decline in performance. This research aims to investigate the relationship between three components of emotional intelligence—self-motivation, self-awareness, and self-control—among financial and non-financial managers of municipalities in Bushehr province. In terms of research objectives, it is descriptive with a quantitative method and applied results. The research method and statistical population include all financial and non-financial managers of municipalities in Bushehr province in the year 1399 (2020–2021). The statistical sample was selected through convenience sampling, distributing Shiring's Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire and Borouzi's Financing Methods Questionnaire among 40 financial managers and 40 non-financial managers of municipalities in Bushehr province who were willing to cooperate. In this research, structural equation modeling technique was used to test the hypotheses, and Smart PLS software was employed for hypothesis testing. The results indicated that self-motivation, self-awareness, and self-control of financial and non-financial managers have a significant effect on financing in Bushehr municipalities.
