Abstract

In today's complex and dynamic economic environment, financial literacy is

recognized as one of the key skills for both personal and professional life.

Financial literacy not only plays a crucial role in everyday financial decision-

making but also significantly impacts individuals' financial well-being. Moreover,

access to reliable and understandable financial information can strengthen this

impact and assist individuals in improving their financial status. The main

objective of this study is to examine the relationship between financial literacy

and financial well-being with the mediating role of financial information among

municipal employees in Bushehr Province. This quantitative research employed

Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using Smart PLS software. Data were

collected and analyzed through validated questionnaires.The findings revealed

that financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on employees’

financial well-being. Additionally, financial information plays an effective

mediating role in this relationship. The study also showed that financial literacy

directly and indirectly (via financial information) affects various dimensions of

financial well-being, including financial security, financial management

capability, financial future, and financial needs and priorities.The results

highlight the importance of promoting financial education and providing access

to appropriate financial information for employees. These insights can serve as

useful guidelines for policymakers in human resource management and urban

administration.
