Abstract
New technologies, especially in the fields of artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), big data, and geographic information systems (GIS), have rapidly entered various sectors of urban management and have led to significant changes in improving efficiency, sustainability, and quality of urban life. The use of these technologies in urban resource management, transportation planning, crisis management, improving public services, and sustainable development are among their obvious benefits. This article examines the various applications of new technologies in various areas of urban management and analyzes the challenges and opportunities they present. Research shows that the use of new technologies can help urban managers make more informed decisions, reduce costs, and optimize resources, but the need for appropriate infrastructure and citizen participation is essential for maximum utilization of these technologies. The study also points to the role of governments and local institutions in facilitating and implementing these technologies.
