The importance of human resource risk in organizations and industries has increased greatly, and some scholars even refer to it as a key responsibility for every professional in the field of human resources. Human resource risks have wide dimensions because they bring significant opportunities and threats to the organization. Therefore, the purpose of the present study is to investigate the status of human resource risk among Tabriz Municipality employees. The statistical population of the study is 300 Tabriz Municipality employees, from whom 170 samples were selected using the Krejci-Morgan table using the available random sampling method. The data collection method is library and field, and the data collection tool in this study is a standard questionnaire. The 33-question standard questionnaire of Ernst and Young (2008) was used for measurement. The reliability of the questionnaire was confirmed through Cronbach's alpha. The one-sample t-test was used to test the research hypotheses. The research findings showed that all hypotheses were confirmed, in other words, the status of human resources risk and the components of strategic risk, operational risk, compliance risk, and financial risk among Tabriz Municipality employees is different from the desired status. Human resources risk and the components of strategic risk, operational risk, and compliance risk are in an unfavorable state, and financial risk is in a relatively favorable state.
