Decisions related to the payment of dividends are one of the basic components in the management policy of companies and are among the most important topics in financial literature, because dividends represent the major cash payments of companies and are one of the most important options. and decisions are considered before the managers. Therefore, the main goal of this research is to examine the relationship between the performance of the board of directors and the payment of dividends of companies that are members of the Tehran Stock Exchange. To achieve this goal, a sample consisting of 140 companies admitted to the Tehran Stock Exchange during the years 1395 to 1402 was considered. The data related to the research models were collected and sorted using Excel software, and preliminary calculations were performed on the raw data to reach the main variables of the research. The final data were transferred to the twelfth version of Evoz software for analysis based on the conceptual model of the research. Then the descriptive statistics of the research variables were analyzed. The results of the research showed that there is a significant and positive relationship between the performance of the board of directors and the payment of dividends.
