Studies on the reaction of investors to profit declarations have shown that the organizational situation significantly affects the information content of this declaration. In leading countries, corporate audit committees have become an important tool for overseeing the reliability of the financial reporting process. The Audit Committee acts as a determining factor in the financial reporting process. Therefore, due to the importance of the subject, this study seeks to investigate the relationship between the characteristics of the audit committee and the announcement of profits in companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange. In terms of data analysis method, it is a descriptive-correlational research. The research data were collected from compact discs of statistical and video archives of Tehran Stock Exchange Organization, Tehran Stock Exchange website, New Rahavard software, then the final analysis was performed using Eviews version 11 statistical software; And the results obtained from the research showed that the size of the audit committee, the independence of the audit committee and the expertise of the audit committee affect the company's profit announcement.
