Investigating the effect of music on customers' shopping behavior (Case study: Mashhad welfare chain stores)

Abstract
Today, music is one of the most important and influential factors in people's lives and we see its use in commercial environments, chain stores, shopping malls, restaurants and other public centers. The use of music can be in today's competitive environment. As an effective factor in attracting and retaining customers to have a significant impact.
Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate the role of music on customers' shopping behavior in convenience store stores. This research is a survey research in terms of method and applied research in terms of purpose. Data were collected using a questionnaire from convenience store customers who were selected by stratified random sampling. The validity of the questionnaire was calculated using the opinion of professors and its reliability was calculated through Cronbach's alpha; Which coefficient above 0.7 for all variables confirmed the reliability of the tool. In order to analyze the data, structural equation method and PLS software were used. The results show that all the considered components of background music (including speed, volume and music style) have a significant effect on customers' buying behavior.
