Abstract
This study examines the impact of corporate governance and competition in the product market on stock valuation in the capital market (Tehran Stock Exchange). Data from the variables studied in regression models for a nine-year period (2007-2010) were collected from audited financial statements. In order to achieve the research goals, two hypotheses were tested. Data analysis was performed using data panel method in R software. Based on statistical analysis, the results showed an error rate of 5%: The first hypothesis of the research: There is no significant relationship between corporate governance and stock valuation. The second hypothesis of the research: Competition in the product market has no significant effect on the relationship between corporate governance and stock valuation.
