پژوهش حاضر به بررسی تاثیر استقلال هیئت مدیره بر ارتباط بین کیفیت سود و سود تقسیمی سهام میپردازد. این پژوهش ازلحاظ هدف کاربردی بوده و از بعد روششناسی از نوع تحقیقات علّی (پس رویدادی) میباشد. جامعه آماری پژوهش، کلیه شرکتهای پذیرفتهشده در بورس اوراق بهادار تهران بوده و با استفاده از روش نمونهگیری حذف سیستماتیک، 129 شرکت بهعنوان نمونه پژوهش انتخابشده و در دورهی زمانی 5 ساله بین سالهای 1393 تا 1397 مورد تحقیق قرار گرفتند. برای اندازه گیری متغیر کیفیت سود از مدل دیچو و دیچاو (2002) استفاده شده است. روش مورداستفاده جهت جمعآوری اطلاعات، کتابخانهای و برای آزمون فرضیهها از رگرسیون خطی چندگانه استفادهشده است. برای اجرای آزمونها و تخمین نهایی مدلها از نرم افزار استاتا نسخه 15 استفاده گردید. نتایج پژوهش نشان میدهد که بین کیفیت سود و سود تقسیمی سهام ارتباط مستقیم و معنادار وجود دارد. استقلال هیئت مدیره بر ارتباط بین کیفیت سود و سود تقسیمی سهام تاثیر مستقیم و معنادار دارد. استقلال هیئت مدیره، ارتباط مستقیم بین کیفیت سود و سود تقسیمی سهام را تشدید می کند.
