Abstract
In today's competitive and dynamic environment, organizations are forced to increase their ability to respond quickly and effectively to environmental changes in order to survive and achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. In this regard, organizational agility has been proposed as one of the key capabilities of organizations to adapt to market developments, technology, and customer needs. Achieving organizational agility largely depends on how organizational knowledge and experiences are managed; in such a way that organizational memory can pave the way for faster and more efficient decision-making by storing, maintaining, and transferring past knowledge and experiences. In contrast, organizational forgetting, as a conscious or unconscious process of discarding obsolete knowledge, procedures, and patterns, can pave the way for learning and innovation for the organization. In this regard, organizational learning, as a dynamic mechanism, plays an important role in transforming stored knowledge and new experiences into operational capabilities and improving organizational performance, and can strengthen the connection between organizational memory and forgetting and organizational agility. Given the importance of this issue in service and financial organizations, the present study aims to model the structural equations of the effect of organizational memory and organizational forgetting on organizational agility with the role of mediating organizational learning in Sepah Bank of Mazandaran Province in order to explain how to utilize knowledge and learning to increase the agility and efficiency of this organization. The aim of the present study is to investigate the effect of organizational memory and organizational forgetting with organizational agility with the role of mediating organizational learning in Sepah Bank of Mazandaran Province. The sample size was determined based on the Cochran formula, 86 people. The sampling method was also non-probability, available. The data collection tool was a standard questionnaire. Content validity was assessed by professors, construct validity was assessed by confirmatory factor loading analysis, and its reliability was assessed by Cronbach's alpha and composite reliability coefficient. Structural equation modeling was used to examine the hypotheses using SmartPLS software. The research findings show that organizational forgetting, organizational memory, and organizational learning have a positive and significant effect on organizational agility. Organizational forgetting and organizational memory also improve organizational learning.
